home theater help needed?
I have a Logitech X-540 5.1 Channel Home Theater. A 32" Sony Bravia LCD TV - KLV32T400A. A ONIDA HDR-5522 5.1 DVD Player. An AIRTEL Digital TV HD connection. Can anyone please tell me a way to connect my Digital tv sound output to my Logitech X-540 home theater. Please dont use words such as "coaxial" or "optical". because i dunno wat they mean. my AIRTEL digital tv hd set up box says it supports 7.1 channel ouput but it has only YPbPr (dunno wat it means) please tell me how to get sound output from all my 6 speakers. What is an amplifier, how much would a amplifer cost. If i buy an amplifier will i be able to play HDMI movies in .mkv and .mk4 formats. I bought the Onida HDMI player in a hurry and then realised that it didn't support .mkv and .mp4 formats. Please tell me whether i would be able to play hdmi movies with an amplifier, can i connect my set up box out put to amplifier, then connect home theater input to amplifier, or can i do all these without an amplifier.
