Jukebox Hire - A Viable Party Option?

Much like everything else, entertainment is going digital. It is therefore no surprise that "digital jukeboxes" are enjoying huge popularity in this age of comebacks.

One of these is the jukebox, which has been in use since the time when people were still playing vinyl records(LPs).These jukeboxes were quite mechanical and they did not have a wide selection of music like the more modern ones in use today.

The jukebox has been adapted for use with CDs while some are even using digital formats such as MP3 .A jukebox offers solutions to many of the problems traditionally associated with a DJ.

Unlike hiring a DJ, hiring a jukebox does not involve many assessments as it is quite obvious what the machine can do. A jukebox sticks to the music - no interuptions or excessive "blabber mouthing" from the DJ who drank too much. You can switch from one type of music to another in an instant. A DJ usually plays different musical tastes in segments. There are many user-friendly features which make hiring a jukebox a favourable option. We shall examine some of them below.

The jukebox has instant play features. It therefore starts playing the music the moment a CD is selected. There is no waiting period. Some jukeboxes also offer cross-fading, which mixes the songs as they approach their end. Some people have said that such a feature has really made the jukebox to be as good as a DJ. This is debatable but it is fair to say that it is partially true.

There are different ways of finding the songs that you want. You can select your song using the CD cover, title or song name, artist name or you can use the category - e.g, hip hop, rap, contemporary or new releases.

This is a huge advantage as it offers the ultimate in crowd interaction and involvement. There'll thus be no feuding about song selections since everyone gets to have an opportunity to choose their own musical preferences.

The jukebox is quite easy to operate and you can set it auto play when it can select songs at random. This can be done while the people are having their dinner. You can alternatively play your own songs or use the programme manager to 'theme' parties.

Some jukeboxes also have a built-in CD player where you can play your own CDs. Quite clearly, hiring a jukebox is worth some consideration when organising your next party.
