What kind of options do I have? (Graphics Cards & Converters)?
If I want to connect my ATI Radeon 4600 HD graphics card to a portable DVD player to expand my desktop, will this work?
1) VGA to 3 RCA component video cable. The VGA will connect to my graphics card.
2) Using the 3 RCA cable to connect to Steren - Video / audio coupler, to connect a yellow and black RCA cable to a 3.5mm jack.
3)From the 3.5mm jack it will connect to the AV IN on a portable DVD player.

That will NEVER work.
Those VGA-to-RCA adapters are intended for video cards that have a specially-built VGA port capable of sending out a TV signal. It will NOT work with just any VGA port.
Your HD4600's VGA port is NOT one of those specially-built ones. If you attempt to use that adapter to connect the HD4600 to a component or composite TV display, you will get NO image.
Don't even think it.
